Angus joined the team in August as the Rough Edges Program Manager. He is responsible for all the day-to-day happenings at Rough Edges, including managing volunteers, food supply and just about everything else.
Angus has been working in youth and community development for almost 20 years, working in the areas of homelessness, program and event development, and community sector development, most recently at Caretaker’s Cottage in Bondi.
As he shares in the video, his experience in childhood of having unstable housing and accessing youth services led to him wanting to do social work and youth work with his life.
His move to St John’s Community Services comes after he lost his sister a year ago and started praying to God. His work is now informed by his faith and he is excited to be working for an organisation that is motivated by Jesus’ love for all people.
Angus holds a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management, a Bachelor of Youth Work, and is currently completing a Diploma of Applied Positive Psychology and Wellbeing.
